ELS/Nashville is located on the beautiful campus of Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), just south of Nashville, in the city of Murfreesboro. MTSU, the largest undergraduate university in the state, has nationally and internationally recognized programs in aerospace, business, accounting, mass communication and the recording industry. The university invites ELS students to join one of over 200 student organizations, a newly renovated recreation center and a state-of-the-art library. We are here because Nashville/Murfreesboro and MTSU provide quality education in a safe and secure environment. Everywhere you go, on campus or in the city, people wave to you and say hello. Nearby Nashville, known worldwide as "Music City USA", is also known for its academic culture, with 16 higher education institutions, mild climate, the largest retail shopping area in Tennessee and a low cost of living.

"ELS ging auf meine individuellen Lern-Bedürfnisse ein."

Der Einzelunterricht war sehr gut und meinen Lernbedürfnissen und meinem Können entsprechend angepasst.
Meine beiden Lehrer waren sehr freundlich offen, aufgeschlossen und gestalteten den Unterricht sehr vielfältig und lehrreich.
Die Lage der Schule war gut und mit dem PW gut erreichbar, wobei man sich bereits am ersten Tag oder noch besser einen Tag vor Beginn um ein Parkticket für die Dauer des Studiums kümmern muss, um keine Parkbusse zu bekommen. Vorausgesetzt man kommt täglich mit dem Privatfahrzeug. Ebenso kann nicht überall auf dem Schulgelände parkiert werden.
Die Einrichtung im Schulzimmer war sehr einfach und Zweckmässig.

Allerdings läuft die Klimaanlage nonstopp und kann nicht abgeschaltet werden. Es war für mich sehr unangenehm und zu kalt.
Die Sauberkeit in den Toiletten lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig und war absolut nicht zufrieden stellend.

I enjoyed my trip. I was in ELS in Murfreesboro because Cookeville is so far to Nashville. ELS was good, they have good teachers. I think that you must change the city on the website, due to the differences between Nashville, Cookeville and Murfreesboro. Thanks

The Campus Crossings Apartments offers single occupancy rooms in a fully furnished 4-bedroom, 4 bathroom unit. Each student is provided their own private bedroom and bathroom, while sharing the living room, kitchen and laundry facilites with three other students. Rooms include full-size bed, dresser, desk, chair, closet, and private bathroom. Linens are included and the kitchen is supplied with utensils for cooking and eating. Each apartment has a shared living area with free cable TV and Internet access, and a kitchen with cooking and eating utensils so that students can prepare their own meals. Students share responsibility for cleaning their apartment with their ELS roommates.

Residents also enjoy access to the swimming pool and hot tub, beach volleyball, 24-hour computer lab with free printing, 24-hour fitness center, tanning beds, and game room with pool table and big screen TV.

The apartment management office is open seven days a week, and there is a security officer residing on the premises.

"Does Nashville offer any TOEFL program?"

This center does not offer any TOEFL program. However, all of our centers are official “TOEFL testing locations.”

"Is it possible for a student to take a session break in the middle of the 4-month program? A relative is worried about burnout."

The only way a student can take a break is if the student is leaving the US. With the visa regulations on the I-20, the student must study for 4 consecutive sessions in order to be eligible for a break/vacation within the US.

If she is leaving the US during her break, this will be fine. Otherwise, she would need to complete the 4 full sessions before domestic break.

The ELS center is in Murfressboro on the campus of MTSU. This is about a 40 minute car drive from downtown Nashville.

Many of the students will take the bus to Nashville (Monday-Friday) or go with a friend who has a car. Some students choose to rent a car so they can spend the weekend in Nashville. The host families love closer to the University.
